TINY UAV'S IN THE SIZE OF A CIGARETTE!!

Researchers at OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY AND DARPA (The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) have developed a sophisticated, unmanned aircraft small enough to fit into a soldier's pocket (size of a cigar).

This class of airplane can measure anywhere from a foot to less than 6 inches long. It uses plasma thrusters with no moving parts. it very simple to use, all that infantrymen have to do is to pull a pack of six or so out of their pocket and have them ready for use The new line of aircraft would take over some of the duties performed by today's UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) fleet, mainly surveillance of hostile areas, and would be a significant improvement over the UAV equipment available to soldiers today,

The university and DARPA have even more deadlier project in mind: an aircraft that can stay aloft for five years at a stretch.

ADVANTAGE

1. It’s cheaper than the NANO bots.

2. Very light which makes it easier for the soldiers to carry.

3. Gives the soldiers the tactical advantage.

4. Its small, this makes it almost invisible to the enemies.

DISADVANTAGE

1. This UAV stays in air for only a short time
