SOUTH AFRICA SLIPS IN TEST RANKINGS AFTER A SERIES WIN

South Africa has been pushed to Rank 4 in LG ICC Test Championship table despite their recent 2-1 series win over the West Indies; India regains the second spot with their neighbourhood country Sri Lanka maintaining in the third place

SouthAfrica, having lost the first Test in Port Elizabeth, did well to square the series with a victory at Cape Town and clinched the series by defeating the Windies again at Durban. But the weighting system is such that, when playing teams further down the table, it means it loses one ratings point in the latest Test Championship table.

Incidentally, South Africa’s loss is India’s gain as the BLUE CAPS moves up to second spot in the table. India is level on points with Sri Lanka but is shown to be ahead of SRILANKA as the points are calculated beyond the decimal point.
