Aussies were two overs short of their target even after taking into consideration the time allowances.
According to the ICC governing over-rate penalties, the Australian players were fined five per cent of their match fees for every over their side failed to bowl in the allotted time. The captain was fined double that amount.
So, punter (ponting) ended paying fined 20 per cent of his match fee while the other Aussie players were fined 10 per cent of their match fee.
