Apple announced a slash in the prices of the 1 GB players, the players will be available at just 49$ (it was 79$ before). There is more good news. A 2 GB (69$)version on the mini ipod will be released next month. Apple has decided to give their customers some choices; the players will be available in 5 different colours-Blue,Red,Silver,Green and Purple.
